The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appointed Lieutenant Colonel Kambani Ronald Lungu as its new General Manager for National Teams, with immediate effect.
Col. Lungu brings extensive football administration experience to the position and is expected to play a key role in strengthening the coordination and administration of Zambia’s national teams.
FAZ General Secretary Charles Chakatazya expressed confidence in Lungu’s appointment, saying his experience would add value to the national teams’ set-up.
“We are confident that Col. Lungu’s experience in football administration will add value to the national team’s set-up. His role will be critical in ensuring that our national teams are well coordinated and supported,” Chakatazya said.
Lungu currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Red Arrows, a club in the Zambian Premier League, having previously served as the club’s Team Manager. He has also served on the executive committee of Power Dynamos.
In his new role, Lungu will work closely with the technical and administrative teams at various levels to ensure the smooth running and effective support of Zambia’s national teams.
His appointment comes as FAZ moves to strengthen the management structures and administrative support surrounding the national teams.
Lungu succeeds Chakatazya, who previously served as General Manager for National Teams before his recent appointment as FAZ General Secretary.
