Zambian striker Patson Daka continued his impressive start to life in Germany after finding the back of the net once again for Bundesliga side Hamburger SV (HSV) in Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Everton.
Daka came off the bench to score Hamburg’s equaliser early in the second half, showcasing the clinical finishing that has made him one of Zambia’s most celebrated forwards. However, the German side eventually fell to a 2-1 defeat after a late own goal handed Everton victory.
The goal follows Daka’s impressive debut last week when he marked his first appearance for HSV with a goal and two assists in a 3-1 victory over Heidenheim, making an immediate impact after completing his move from Leicester City.
The 27-year-old Chipolopolo forward will be hoping to carry his rich pre-season form into the new Bundesliga campaign as Hamburg prepare for their return to Germany’s top flight.
Daka’s bright start is an encouraging sign for both his new club and the Zambia national team, with the striker appearing to have quickly settled into his new surroundings.
