Solwezi-based Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club has announced a significant overhaul of its coaching staff after their demotion to the national league. On July 20, 2024, the club unveiled the new tactical team led by former Zambia International Zeddy Saileti, who has signed a two-year contract as Head Coach. Zeddy Saileti, known for his extensive coaching experience with teams such as Lumwana Radiants, Nkana, Nakambala, and Mutondo Stars FC, brings a wealth of expertise to Kansanshi Dynamos. His strategic insights and leadership skills are expected to steer the team towards achieving a quick promotion to the MTN Super League and competing for top honors in the future.
Alongside Saileti, Kansanshi Dynamos has appointed Andrew Themba Mwanza as the second assistant coach and Humphrey Kapoma as the goalkeeper trainer. Mwanza and Kapoma joined Mutondo Stars after demonstrating their coaching prowess and commitment. They have also signed two-year contracts with the club. Buchizya Mfune has been brought on board as the new physical trainer, joining from Green Buffalos Football Club. Mfune’s expertise in physical conditioning is anticipated to enhance the team’s overall performance and fitness levels. He, too, has signed a two-year contract.
Makundika Sakala, who joined Kansanshi Dynamos FC late in the 2023/24 season, will continue in his role as the first assistant coach. Sakala’s familiarity with the team dynamics will be crucial in ensuring a smooth transition and effective collaboration among the coaching staff. Club President Douglas Nyirenda expressed confidence in the newly assembled coaching team. He emphasized the club’s ambition to build a strong squad capable of securing quick promotion to the MTN Super League and contending for future honors. Nyirenda looks forward to a successful journey with the new coaching team at the helm.
