Levy Mwanawasa Stadium 2
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is a modern multi-purpose sports facility located in Ndola, Zambia’s Copperbelt Province. Officially opened in 2012, the stadium was named after Zambia’s third Republican President, Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, in recognition of his legacy.
With a seating capacity of 49,800, it is one of the largest stadiums in Zambia and serves as the official home ground for ZESCO United FC, one of the country’s most successful football clubs. The stadium is also regularly used by the Zambia national football team, Chipolopolo, for international fixtures and qualifiers.
Beyond football, Levy Mwanawasa Stadium hosts athletics, concerts, and major state events, making it an important landmark on the Copperbelt. Its world-class facilities and electrifying matchday atmosphere have earned it a reputation as a fortress for ZESCO United and a centerpiece of Zambian sport.
